a few pics while i move

so, we're moving and will be without the internet for a while. somehow this leaves me feeling unsettled. i feel the need to post before i go. Anna is afraid of sprinklers, but loves the hose. i think it's a control issue. i can't resist kissing Madeline's chubby little cheeks. she is so much more roley poly than Anna was. and the curl on top makes me think my curly-q genes are pretty strong.
now i suppose that's enough procrastinating. back to the task at hand, packing. no, not moving-packing...we have packers and movers courtesy of State Farm. but packing for my trip to California!!!!! i have to get all our stuff ready now or else it will end up in boxes that i may or may not unpack before Sunday! can't wait to see family and friends!

a project completed

(front)

(back)

i had this great idea to do a "quick" embroidery project on a plain t-shirt for Anna. 3+ weeks later it is finished. wow, i never really realized how little time i have with both hands available. no wonder her bedroom quilt has yet to materialize. oh well, time to hula!!!

dance party

arizona is hot in the summer. no kidding. as a result, we do not go to any of the 44 neighborhood parks here in Verrado to play. no - instead we drive an hour to the Chandler Mall to play on the indoor playground with four hundred other kids. Anna loves it. but today she kept asking, "Mommy go dancing?" i guess she thinks the mother's lounge in Nordstrom is her own personal dance club. while i feed her sister, she happily shakes her groove thing to the muzak. i couldn't help filming. the toilet flushing and store pages make it all the more hilarious.

baby blessing

our first family photo (it only took 3 months to get us in one shot.)

we had a great weekend filled with family and fun. we blessed Madeline on sunday, so my family was in town and the earls came up from the east valley. we missed you Ash, Barrett, Autumn, Henry and Laine. (hope the Beardsleys are feeling better.)

take me out to the ball game!

as some may know, Anna loves sports. she watches espn news every morning with her dad and screams, "yay basketball! look baseball! yippee football! look Daddy golf!" so, going to a game is sheer joy for her. it was Maddie's first time to a sporting event, and it seemed she had a good time drooling and being ogled by grandparents. peanuts and crackerjacks were had by all, however i was disturbed to find out that Coldstone is the new ice cream supplier at Chase Field so there is no more vanilla softserve in a batting helmet, or chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. i can get Coldstone anywhere!
