sewing again

so, i've been on a rather lengthy sewing hiatus, the projects just piling up. and this was not one of them.......years ago my dear beautiful crafty and talented friend Tonya, swore to me that shirring was easy. seeing all the shirred dresses coming into target and old navy, but wishing for different fabrics, i finally decided to take her word for it. and guess what? she doesn't lie! it's pretty easy, but more so, pretty addictive. now, all the fabric i had for baby quilts is slowly becoming little sun dresses. which will probably be better gifts anyway, since the intended recipients are all little toddlers now. oh, and maybe someday i'll actually tackle some of the projects i have piling up. sew silly!

ADORABLE!! I might have to follow your lead. I have 3 huge boxes of fabric in the garage intended for babies who are now several birthdays in!

It's not our fault we have prolific friends, right? Too many babies, too little time! :)

No Way!! I cannot believe you MADE those! You must have inherited some sewing talent from Shirlee- something I was definitely NOT blessed with! Maybe in June you can show me how- it's worth trying- they are SO cute!

I love them! I can't wait to try it out myself! I'm sure I'll be calling you for tips, advice, etc. But don't worry, it won't be until after the baby comes, I can't bare to add any more projects to my list right now!
